Job Description

Production Operator 3rd Shift

Required to train on 1st shift for 2 weeks
Schedule: Monday Friday, 9:00 PM 5:30 AM
Pay: $16.50/hour + 15% shift differential = $18.98/hour


JOB SUMMARY
The Production Operator performs hands-on work to help make finished products. This includes using machines and equipment to mix, shape, and assemble materials like metals and chemicals. Work is completed with guidance from a supervisor.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow all safety rules and procedures
  • Use machines and equipment to help make products (assembly, mixing, packaging, etc.)
  • Work with metals and chemicals to create finished products
  • Follow written instructions and procedures
  • Read basic drawings or diagrams when needed
  • Complete paperwork to track production and materials
  • Maintain quality standards
  • Keep a steady work pace and follow schedules
  • Fix or redo work when needed
  • Use basic measuring and testing tools
  • Produce quality products while reducing waste
  • Attend training as required
  • Help with other tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED (or similar work experience)
  • Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation for local travel if needed
