Department Statement
Event support staff members provide audio/visual support for all campus events. This support includes, but is not limited to, A/V setups, technology and serving as a liaison between ITS and the event sponsor. Event support staff are called upon to load/unload supplies and equipment and will be asked to drive university vehicles to venues on campus.

Operation of classroom and auditoria equipment control systems, projectors, DVD players, document cameras, microphones, etc.
Setup, operate, troubleshoot, break down and secure AV equipment speakers, microphones, projectors, screens, etc.
Diagram, open, set-up, tear-down and secure rooms as scheduled and diagram
Responsible for video recording and live streaming of events.
Ability to work with and provide direction to student employees.
Selected candidate will be required to sign up for events utilizing whentowork.Com.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience/ Qualifications
Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
High degree of attention to detail
Ability to problem solve, work as a team player and manage multiple priorities
Knowledge of Mac and Windows operating systems
Desire to learn and adapt in an ever changing environment
A current valid driver s license, in accordance with the University s Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle use Policy is required
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of an Associate s degree in related field, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable skills are acquired
A minimum of 6 months experience working with AV Equipment is preferred
Previous supervisory experience is preferred

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and move equipment from vans to the event venue.

Work Schedule
This position is slated to work 20 hours per week. Individuals will be required to work some evenings from approximately 6: 00pm 9: 00pm and on weekends occasionally at noon and more typically from 4: 00pm 9: 00pm.
