Job Description
The Shipping & Receiving Yard Associate is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely loading and unloading of materials, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving documentation, and maintaining clean and organized yard conditions. This position supports the company s goal to deliver high-quality products safely and on schedule to customers.
What you will do:
Load and unload using forklift truck
Count and verify finished jobs completely and accurately.
Ensure customer trucks are loaded safely and per specifications.
Sign necessary paperwork
Stage finished product efficiently in the shipping/receiving yard
Verify incoming materials, ensuring proper tagging and documentation.
Stage and count received material in a neat
Maintain safe and organized yard conditions.
Perform daily AM preventative equipment checks and clean equipment
Work Environment:
Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Fast-paced yard and warehouse environment.
Use of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Performance Standards:
Complete work timely with zero safety or quality infractions
Demonstrate excellent customer service during all shipping and receiving interactions
Show initiative and efficiency when handling materials and completing tasks
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 months forklift experience
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Must have basic math skills, counting is key
Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Follows written and verbal instructions with accuracy and reliability
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Wage: $18 per hour
