Job Description
Staffworks is hiring an Associate Furnace Operator!
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–12:00 AM
Pay: $20.90/hour (includes 10% shift differential)
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and work at heights up to 60 feet
- Ability to wear a respirator and required PPE
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, climb stairs, and perform other physical tasks for extended periods
Responsibilities
- Assist with setup, operation, cleaning, and monitoring of vacuum atomization furnaces
- Prepare raw materials and assist with furnace operations
- Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance
- Remove/replace furnace lids and coils using an electric hoist
- Clean furnace chambers, crucibles, and equipment
- Perform housekeeping and follow all safety and EH&S requirements
