Location: Oriskany, NY
Pay: $19.00
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am start time
Bonus: $50 weekly bonus for perfect attendance
We are seeking a customer-focused Consumer Support Representative to provide professional support to consumers primarily by phone and email. This role involves answering product questions, troubleshooting concerns, processing refunds, documenting interactions, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve issues.
This position is best suited for candidates with experience in contact centers, customer support, product support, technical support, or similar phone- and email-based service environments. This is not a traditional retail or in-store customer service position.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls and respond to consumer inquiries by phone and email.
- Provide product information, troubleshooting assistance, and appropriate solutions.
- Handle consumer complaints and work toward effective resolutions.
- Process refunds and replacement-part requests according to company procedures.
- Accurately document consumer interactions and maintain records.
- Identify recurring questions or product concerns and share feedback with internal teams.
- Prepare basic reports regarding consumer feedback and recurring issues.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve consumer needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer support, contact center, product support, technical support, or a similar service environment preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional, patient, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and customer service/CRM systems.
- Ability to learn new products and systems quickly.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of horticulture, agriculture, lawn and garden, or consumer products is a plus.
