Staffworks is seeking an Associate Furnace Operator in Clayville NY

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• United States Citizenship required due to government contracts
• Must have High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must be able to work overtime when required
• Must be able to lift to 25 lbs. independently
• Must be able to work from heights up to 60
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude
• Must be physically capable of the following: bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, overhead reaching, standing on feet for long period of time up to 8 hours, and climbing stairs

Essential Functions:

• Perform various cleaning, monitoring, and securing operations to assist in the set-up of a vacuum atomization furnace.
• Work from verbal and written instructions to perform repetitive tasks before and after the and when required during the atomization process.
• Assist in preparing raw material charges, running the furnace control board, making minor repairs on the furnace, atomization chamber, and other auxiliary equipment, cleaning the atomization chamber, carry out housekeeping duties.
• Assist in the removal and replacement furnace lid and coils. Cleaning the interior of the furnace chamber and O ring seal.
• Clean raw material charge and transport to charge area.

The salary range for this role is $19.00 plus 10% shift differential

Available shifts:

Friday Sunday 7pm 7am

Monday Thursday 10pm 8am
