Job Description

Staffworks is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Accounting Clerk to join our team! This role supports the Accounts Receivable function and helps ensure timely and accurate payment for goods and services provided to our clients. It s a great opportunity for someone looking to build experience in accounting within a fast-paced office environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and accounts receivable transactions
  • Create and submit invoices in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain and update customer account files (name/address changes, mergers, mailing updates, etc.)
  • Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections
  • Review files to identify delinquent accounts and contact customers to request payment
  • Create reports on the status of customer accounts as requested
  • Research customer discrepancies and past-due balances
  • Copy, file, and retrieve accounts receivable documents as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
