Plant Employees must understand the Quality Policy and vigilantly assess the products they are handling for blemishes and quality failures. They are responsible for communicating clearly to the Operators, Quality Leads and Supervisors when quality failures occur.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Packaging Assembly
- Follow the directions of the shift Supervisor.
- Follow the direction of Operators and Leads while on the production line.
- Assess all packaging components and finished goods for acceptable Quality:
i. Alert Operators and Quality Leads when quality failures happen.
c. Assemble paperboard packaging components and finished goods:
i. This includes gluing, folding, ironing, inserting, pressing, fulfilling, etc. of material components.
ii. Polybag and pack-out finished goods.
iii. Assemble corrugated shippers
iv. Prep work areas for upcoming assembly jobs as directed:
- Wipe tables clean, collect glue, tape, hand tools, and jigs as directed.
- Transfer all packaging materials and product components to correct machine line/area as directed.
- Notify the shift Supervisor of any floor needs and low inventory of expendables.
- Notify the shift Supervisor of any damaged materials or tools.
- Follow daily attendance protocol accurately.
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures.
- All other duties assigned
Cleaning & Safety
- Assist in clearing Assembly area after job completion.
- Wipe tables, sweep, remove trash, etc.
- Follow procedure for leftover materials.
- Keep aisles clear and floor swept of debris.
- Keep all materials and shop floor shelving orderly.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions to Production Leadership Team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 18+ years old.
- Positive Attitudes & Team Players only.
- High Energy someone who is always on the go is ideal for this role.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Able to stand for duration of shift.
