Quality Control Technician

Position Summary:

The Quality Technician is responsible for evaluating, documenting and dispositioning the conformity of materials and products being supplied to company  manufacturing through FAI and PPAPs.

. 

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, (Monday Friday) 

Pay:

$22.00 - $26.00 DOE

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•   Following and establishing measurement procedures to obtain data for the evaluation of part conformity
•   Evaluating the conformity of purchased parts to PPC specifications.
•  Performing statistical analysis on critical dimensions of parts. 
•  Determining the disposition of parts based on their conformity to requirements.
•  Documenting and the FAI/PPAP process, ensuring approvals are obtained and reviewing any delays.
•   Support quality compliance and LEAN efforts
•   Additional responsibilities include working in conjunction with quality engineers and auditors to develop and improve processes, training peers in measurement techniques and developing measurement programming as available.
•  Performs all other duties as assigned.              

Requirements:

• Skills: Microsoft Office Suite and SAP is preferred.
• Skills: Blueprint reading preferred. Ability to utilize precision hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, bore micrometers, etc.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to follow and execute detailed processes/directions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a culturally diverse workplace.
• Be able to work in a loud manufacturing environment subject to fluctuations in temperature.
• Education:
• High School diploma or GED
