Staffworks is currently recruiting for a 1st shift Facilities Maintenance Manager position for a client in the Binghamton, NY area! * This position would require traveling 30 minutes between two locations*
Roles & Responsibilities:
Inspect facilities/equipment to determine need and extent of service.
Assign workers to duties such as maintenance, repair or renovation.
Obtain bids for additional work from outside contractors.
Compile records of labor and material cost for operating building and issues cost reports
Prepare construction specifications or plans, obtaining advice from engineering consultants
Assemble and analyze contract bids and submit bids/recommendations to superiors for action
Maintain exterior and interior building maintenance
Control activities such as waste disposal, building security, document destruction, etc.
Maintain keys to all areas of the facility with back up policy/procedure in place
Promote positive work environment, encourage participation in employee engagement activities, evaluate personnel for individual performance and provide feedback, training or Performance Improvement plans. Conduct evaluations, per company policy.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree
Minimum 2 years in a Supervisory role
Minimum 5 years of Facilities Maintenance experience
